Ar. Nitin Sharma, principal, 3DA judged Acetech 2015 Grandstand Awards, New Delhi

Ar. Nitin Sharma adjudicated entrants participating in the Acetech 2015 Grandstand awards being held at Pragati Maidans, New Delhi from 18 to 21 December 2015. The entrants were given a timeframe of 3 days to design, construct and commission their display venues at the exhibition.

Evaluation was to be done over four parameters:

  1. Innovation and creativity/ new concepts
  2. Design of interior space
  3. Efficient use of space for display of all products/ materials; and
  4. Stall staff's knowledge about their products and helpfulness in explaining the range of products to the visitors at Acetech.

Designs were many a variety and ranged from ubiquitously simple to highly innovative and creative. The entries are being compiled for declaration of the final winners, and the results will be declared shortly. Please watch out for the final results here !

WAF 2014 has concluded!

2,000 architects, designers, clients and press converged at Moshe Safdie’s spectacular Marina Bay Sands Hotel for the world’s largest festival and live awards competition dedicated to celebrating, and sharing architectural excellence from across the globe. The festival culminated with the overall winners for World Building of the Year awarded to the Chapel- a21studio and Future Project of the Year awarded to Art Gallery of Greater Victoria - 5468796 Architecture + number TEN architectural group.

Ar. Nitin Sharma & Mr. Mayank Sharma, principals, 3DA, visited World Architecture Festival held at Singapore from 30th September – 3rd October 2014. While this year 3DA is participating as guest to the festival, in 2015, it shall participate in three different categories as award entrants.

The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is the world's largest, live, global architectural awards programme. This is an annual festival and awards ceremony for the architecture industry. At the festivals around 2000 shortlisted projects compete for awards in 20-30 categories. One of these projects is awarded the World Building of the Year title. All the entries are published in the World Buildings Directory online database and each year the World Architecture Festival publishes a list of the winners of the awards.
